Keiko Ueda, MPH, RD, LDN
I completed my bachelor's degree majoring in psychology with minors in biology and anthropology at Washington University in St. Louis, MO. I completed my master's degree in Human Nutrition at the School of Public Health, University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI. I will always be grateful to Dr Richard Allen and Mrs. Anna Marie Schaefer, MPH, RD, for my first 'real' job as a Metabolic Dietitian, and to Dr Mark Korson for his mentorship. I have worked in metabolism programs at the University of Michigan, St. Louis Children’s Hospital, and Tufts Medical Center in Boston, MA. I currently live in beautiful Vancouver, British Columbia Canada and work as a Clinical Dietitian Specialist at BC Children’s Hospital. I have been privileged to learn and work with amazing metabolic clinicians. But my biggest inspiration and motivation has always been gained from working with patients and their families living with metabolic disorders. People who face and overcome many challenges everyday. It is wonderful to see that every new year brings knowledge and improvement to medical nutrition therapy for people living with metabolic disorders.
